Students that study the Master in International Sports Law had the opportunity last week of run a Moot Court that comprises a case before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.

Alexander Vantyghem, former student of the Master in International Sports 2016 Law and current Sports Law Associate at Altius, lead the Moot.

Every student was appointed the role of either: Appellant, Respondent or Arbitrator. The appellants prepared in groups an appeal brief before the hearing and pleadings that took place during the class. The respondents prepared in groups an answer brief before the hearing and pleadings. The arbitrators concocted the smooth conduct of the hearing, asked questions they may have during the hearing, and drafted a final and binding arbitral award after the hearing.
